JET Alumni Author Showcase - March 22
On Sunday, March 22nd, the JET Alumni Association of New York will present its first ever JET Alumni Author Showcase (http://jetaany.org/authors). This event will feature 3 great authors: Roland Kelts (Osaka-shi, 1998-99), author of Japanamerica: How Japanese Pop Culture has Invaded the US, James Kennedy (Nara-ken, 2004-06) author of the novel The Order of Odd-Fish, and Robert P. Weston (Nara-ken, 2002-04), author of the rhyming novel Zorgamazoo.

Kelts, Kennedy, and Weston will participate in short readings of their respective works, followed by a panel discussion and Q& A session on the writing profession, tips on getting published, and how their time spent in Japan through the JET Program has contributed to the success of their current careers. Moderating for the event will be Randall David Cook (Fukui-ken, 1991-93), the author of acclaimed plays Sake With the Haiku Geisha and Fate's Imagination.
Special thanks to Kinokuniya Bookstore and to JetWit.com for their support.

With 22 years of history, the JET Program has engaged over 50,000 selected citizens from across the globe in grass-roots international exchange. They have shared their cultures with citizens of Japan and returned to their countries as proponents of cultural exchange.
