Ambassador Desk

Let me first express my gratitude to everyone who contributed to Japan Day @ Central Park 2009 on May 31. It was a great success; a record-high 45,000 New Yorkers turned out at the park. I took part in the festivities for the first time this
year, and was so impressed to see that the event resonated with such a large number of people.
