There are three methods for obtaining visa information:
- The applicant or a representative may come
in to the Consulate and speak to a Visa Officer.
We are open from 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
for visa services Monday through Friday, except
holidays.
- If the applicant needs more information
than can be obtained from the home page, and
lives and works within the area handled by
this Consulate, he or she may request visa
information by email. The basic information
listed below must be included with your request.
If you do not receive a reply within three
days, please resend your request or use one
of the other methods to obtain information.

The information that will be needed to answer your question is:
- Your nationality
- Your visa status in the United States
- Detailed purpose of your trip to Japan
- Your intended length of stay in Japan
- Your occupation
- Your telephone number
