Welcome back, JETs! The Consulate-General of Japan in New York joined with the Council of Local Authorities for International Relations (CLAIR) and the JET Alumni Association of New York (JETAANY) in hosting a Career Forum and Welcome Back reception for returning Japan Exchange and Teaching (JET) Program participants. The Career Forum gave returning JETs the opportunity to speak and network with various international companies and organizations, such as The Japan Foundation, Oshikiri Corporation of America, and the U.S. Census Bureau. The Welcome Back reception connected JET returnees with members of JETAANY, and highlighted the success of the JET returnees who taught English and worked in local government across Japan for up to 5 years. Overall, the event focused on celebrating the rewarding experience of cultural exchange between the United States and Japan.

山野内大使は26日に日本クラブで実施したJET(語学指導等を行う外国青年招致事業)帰国者歓迎レセプション(在ニューヨーク日本国総領事館と自治体国際化協会(CLAIR)の共催)に出席しました。本年帰国したJET参加者の今後の活躍に期待すると共に，JETプログラム経験者の会ニューヨーク支部(JETAANY)メンバー達を激励しました。今後とも，日本とアメリカの更なる友好関係促進のための架け橋となることが期待されます。
