Japanese "Hina Matsuri Dolls" Display through March 3

Every year in Japan, the Hina-Matsuri Doll festival is held on March 3rd. It is a tradition believed to ensure a healthy life and good fortune for young girls. The festival centers around special Hina dolls.
Japan Information Center at the Consulate-General of Japan in New York will display a seven step set-up, which consists of 15 Hina dolls to celebrate Girls' day.
A seven step set-up consists of chests and household items on the lower step. Above them are three attendants, two ministers, five court musicians, three court ladies, and Emperor and Empress.
