Manuel Morales, Jr.
Mr. Manuel Morales, Jr. graduated from Pace University in 1968 and received his MBA from New York University in 1969. In the same year, Mr. Morales started working at West Indies & Grey Advertising and assumed the post of CEO in 1981. He was also a chairman of the Chamber of Commerce of Puerto Rico from 1976 to 1978. After that, Mr. Morales remained at the Chamber as an advisor and is actively involved in community activities. Mr. Morales was assigned to the post of Honorary Consul General of Japan in February 1997.
Achievements toward Japan
Mr. Morales has played a crucial role in protecting Japanese nationals. In the aftermath of the January 2010 earthquake that hit Puerto Rico, he provided the Consulate with important information regarding the protection of Japanese nationals.

Mr. Morales is well respected by the local Japanese community. He regularly participates in the activities of the Japanese Society and maintains a very close relationship with them. Also, he offered tremendous support for the Japanese Weekend School that the Japanese Society has established and managed. His contribution in promoting Japan to the Puerto Rican community is noteworthy.
