Starting Monday, April 20th, in order to prevent the spread of novel coronavirus infections, non-contact thermometers will be used for those who come to the Consulate reception area on the first floor. Based on body temperature, if we see a reading of 37.5 degrees Celsius or higher, visitors will not be allowed to enter the Consulate. Therefore, if you feel unwell, please visit us at a later date.
Our consulate has been carefully monitoring the Novel coronavirus outbreak in the US.
Our goals are to protect all applicants from this virus while continuing to provide consular and visa services as much as possible.
After careful consideration, our consulate will temporary change our consular office hours and processing times as follows (effective March 31st, 2020).

(We will be closed Thursdays and holidays).

Visa Window will also be open Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday 09:30 AM - 1:00 PM. However, visa APPLICATIONS are currently only being accepted 12:00 noon - 13:00 PM Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday.
(Visa window will also be closed Thursdays and holidays).

Most visa applications will be processed within 5-8 business days.

(2) For the time being, due to our reduced office hours, we are anticipating longer wait times at the consulate. If your situation is not urgent, please consider submitting your application at a later date.
(3) Finally, if you are feeling sick, please consider waiting until you have recovered completely before visiting the consulate.
