In the light of the increase in hate crimes against Asian communities, Consulate General of Japan in New York hosted together with FBI New York Office a joint-seminar entitled "Anti-Asian Hate Meeting with the FBI experts" for the local Japanese community on May 13th. Ambassador Yamanouchi and Assistant Director in Charge FBI New York Office William F. Sweeney joined the meeting and reconfirmed their determination to work together to eradicate and deter such hate crimes.

5月13日、在ニューヨーク日本国総領事館は、アジア系の人々に対するヘイトクライムの増加を受け、FBIニューヨーク事務所と共に、日系コミュニティ代表者らを招いて、「FBI専門家との反アジアヘイト会議」を開催しました。会議には，山野内大使，ウイリアム F. スウィーニー FBIニューヨーク事務所長が参加し，ヘイトクライムの撲滅と抑止に向け，互いに協力していくことを確認しました。
