The Conferment Ceremony of the Order of the Rising Sun, Gold and Silver Rays for Mr. Richard John Beyer (Former Professional Wrestler, “The Destroyer”) was held on February 3rd, 2018 in Buffalo, New York. Ambassador Reiichiro Takahashi, Consul General of Japan in New York presented the decoration to Mr. Beyer.
This decoration is for his outstanding contribution in the development of sports in Japan and promoted mutual understanding between Japan and the United States.

2月3日、リチャード・ジョン・ベイヤー氏（元プロレスラー、「ザ・デストロイヤー」氏）に対する旭日双光章の叙勲伝達式がニューヨーク州バッファロー市内にて執り行われ、高橋礼一郎在ニューヨーク総領事・大使公邸から勲章及び勲記の伝達が行われました。
この叙勲は、我が国のスポーツ界の発展及び日本・アメリカ合衆国の友好親善に寄与した同人の功績によるものです。
