- AMB Mori was interviewed by Ms. Kaoriko Kuge, anchor for Fujisankei Communications International, regarding the Japanese Individual Number (My Number Card / マイナンバーカード)
- Tens of thousands of people came to Philadelphia’s Fairmount Park for the 2025 Subaru Cherry Blossom Festival of Greater Philadelphia while the cherry blossoms were in full bloom. The cherry tree is a testament to the friendship between Japan and Philadelphia. In his speech, DCM Mori noted that Japanese and Japanese Americans have been an important part of the community in Philadelphia, in various fields such as business, academics, arts, and sports.

- Students of Japanese courses at NYU held their annual Spring Festival—a fun celebration of Japanese culture held every spring and fall! Consulate staff members had the pleasure of joining in, giving presentations and hands-on workshops on shogi (Japanese chess) and tea ceremony.
- Senior staff from Japan Information Center visited Pace University's undergrad International Marketing class to discuss the differences between US and Japan's business culture, and examine ideas and suggestions on how being informed of Japan and its culture can be utilized to create an effective marketing plan to introduce non-Japanese product/service to Japanese consumers.
- In honor of International Women's Month, Ambassador Mori gave opening remarks for a Women in STEM panel discussion, co-hosted by the consulate and JMSA: Japanese Medical Society of America, to address the critical issue of advancing gender equality in science and technology.

- Ambassador Mori welcomed the West Point - The U.S. Military Academy cadets and staff led by Col. Michael Kelly to his residence. He thanked them and the U.S. Army leaders for their tremendous efforts and reaffirmed the importance of the Japan-U.S. Alliance in the Indo-Pacific region.

- The Consulate General of Japan in NY hosted a JapaneseSake event at the Ambassador's residence.
- Students majoring in Japanese and Japanese Culture at Hunter College visited the Consulate for their project and interviewed JIC staff. The interview was conducted entirely in Japanese, and they asked questions about the Consulate's role, as well as living and working in Japan compared to the US.
- 9th grade students at Bedford Stuyvesant New Beginnings Charter School participated in an ikebana workshop led by our JIC's Cultural Education Outreach Program.
- Ambassador Mori visited the The University of Tokyo / UTokyo New York office (東京大学基金) to meet with undergraduate students attending UTokyo and Princeton University.
- Members of our Consulate and JAANY (The Japanese American Association of New York) joined the Japanese community in volunteering at The Bowery Mission on March 11th to commemorate the anniversary of the 2011 Great East Japan Earthquake.
- The Consulate's Cultural Education Outreach (CEO) team visited the Academy of Law and Public Safety- MCVSD and gave a lecture on public safety in Japan. They received many questions from students and could feel the dedication and passion of those future aspiring police officers.
- MEXT Scholarship recipients had a courtesy call with Ambassador Mori to talk about their academic journeys and the specialized research they will pursue at Universities in Japan, for which they will be receiving a fully paid scholarship through MEXT.
- Ambassador Mori presented Dr. Shunichi Homma, Professor of Medicine, Columbia University, with the Order of the Sacred Treasure, Gold Rays with Neck Ribbon in the 2024 Autumn Conferment of Decoration.
