ArtsWestchester is featuring black and white abstract paintings by Kiyoshi Otsuka. Otsuka was born in the mountains of Gunma prefecture, studied in Paris, and moved to NY where he evolved his unique vision. Otsuka's paintings speak to the beauty, intensity and mystery of nature and our deep connection to its transformative power.

ニューヨークを拠点に活動する5人の女性作家、及川ひろみ、ヘンデル佳奈、松尾明子、山本章子、安井雪絵による絵画を中心としたグループ展。多層的な歴史と文化が交錯するニューヨークの日常のなかで、作家たちは言葉になる前の感覚や、個人的 でありながら普遍性を内包した瞬間をすくい上げてきた。本展では、そうした関係性のなかから生まれた作品群が、鑑賞者とのあいだにも新たな邂逅をひらいていく。

Go Kurosawa is multi-instrumentalist, producer, and co-founder of the independent label Guruguru Brain. Best known as drummer of Kikagaku Moyo, Go has spent the past decade building bridges connecting east and west, sound and silence, rock and ritual.
He performs his debut solo album soft shakes live at LPR on April 8.

イェール大学医学部の遺伝子の研究に携わり、コンサートピアニストでもある中西聖嗣が、弟でヴァイオリニストの中西寛嗣（パリ国立高等音楽院、2020年ヴュータン国際ヴァイオリンコンクール第1位・聴衆賞）、チェリストのPi-Wei Lin（ジュリアード音楽院、2024年ジュリアード・オナーズ室内楽コンクール優勝）とともにピアノ三重奏コンサートを開催します。 中西聖嗣は、2025年にカーネギー・ホールWeill Recital Hallでの公演をわずか一ヶ月で制作・完売。兄弟がカーネギー・ホールのステージで共演するのは今回が初めてです。"CHORD / CHAOS / CHORD" と銘打たれたプログラムでは、ヒンデミット、プロコフィエフ、ベートーヴェンらの作品を通して調和と混沌、そしてそこから再び立ち上がる希望を探究します。

Takuya Kuroda, a Brooklyn-based Japanese trumpeter, returns to LPR on April 23. After playing around the world, Kuroda brings his hip hop & neo-soul stylings back to (Le) Poisson Rogue to perform selections off his eighth studio album, Everyday.
