ニューヨークを拠点に活動する5人の女性作家、及川ひろみ、ヘンデル佳奈、松尾明子、山本章子、安井雪絵による絵画を中心としたグループ展。多層的な歴史と文化が交錯するニューヨークの日常のなかで、作家たちは言葉になる前の感覚や、個人的 でありながら普遍性を内包した瞬間をすくい上げてきた。本展では、そうした関係性のなかから生まれた作品群が、鑑賞者とのあいだにも新たな邂逅をひらいていく。

Retrospective show of Shoko Suzuki's award-winning 75-year career in ceramics, blending traditional Japanese practices with Brazilian modernist influences and materials. Trained under Tokoō Karasugi in Tokyo in the 1950s, Suzuki immigrated to Brazil in 1962, built her Saigama, Brazil's first noborigama kiln. With her hand-operated potter wheel, she created a distinctive place in Brazilian and international arts . In 2021 she received the Order of the Rising Sun, Gold and Silver Rays.
