Katō Ryōtarō (b. 1974) is an eight-generation descendant of ceramic artists from the Mino region. Yatate
The yatate, a brush and an ink-pot joined in a single small case, worn at the waist traveled everywhere with the writers and merchants of Edo and Meiji Japan. We are pleased to welcome calligrapher Mr. Mohri Suzuki from Japan and host an exhibition dedicated to the yatate and calligraphy culture.
