“Four Seasons in New York - Gems of Japanese Music” is a concert series founded by Yamada-school koto and shamisen performer, Yoko Reikano Kimura in the fall of 2015. Since the first concert, the series has featured about 70 classics from the traditional Japanese music repertoire.
山田流箏曲演奏家の木村伶香能による日本音楽コンサートシリーズ「ニューヨークの四季 - 日本音楽の彩り -」第37回公演。（共催：雪月華｜後援：邦楽ジャーナル）当シリーズは、10年以上に渡り、箏曲（三絃も含む）の名作のべ70曲を体系的に紹介。この秋公演では、唐代の楊貴妃と玄宗皇帝の愛を描いた「秋風の曲」、今なお革新的な三絃独奏曲として知られる「盤渉調」などを演奏。終演後に茶道家、森宗碧による抹茶を提供。

Japanese metalcore band Paledusk makes their New York City debut on November 1 at Le Poisson Rouge.

Born in Hokkaido in 1984, Miyake Shō trained in fiction filmmaking after studying social sciences at Hitotsubashi University. Since his 2012 debut “Playback” premiered at Locarno, his films—prized for their natural, unforced intimacy between characters and camera—have earned acclaim at Berlin and festivals worldwide.
“Small, Slow But Steady,” “All the Long Nights,” and the Golden Leopard–winning “Two Seasons, Two Strangers” trace the fragile textures of everyday life in contemporary Japan.
