Asian Artists and
Concerts, Inc. (AAC) will perform Carl Maria Von
Weber’s "Der Frei Schutz" Overture, Antonin Dvorak
Concerto, violincello, op.104, and Gustac Mahler
Symphony no.1, D major on Friday, December 1 beginning
at 7:30pm at Alice Tully Hall, Lincoln Center in NYC.
Atsushi Yamada, the AAC’s General & Artistic Music
Director, will conduct and cellist Yves Dharamraj,
will participate in this opening concert of the Fall
2006-2007 season. Dharamraj graduated from Yale
University, received the C.V. Starr Doctoral
Fellowship and pursued a DMA at the Juilliard School
in 2005. His performance highlights include a solo
appearance with Maestro Carlos Prieto and the Houston
Symphony. During this Fall series, AAC will perform on
Friday, January 19 at International House, and
Wednesday, January 24 at Rose Theatre, Jazz at Lincoln
Center.
AAC launched in February of this year, with the goal
to serve as a bridge for young Asian artists as they
transition from musical training to a musical career
by helping them gain performance experience while
pursuing their professional goals.
