New Immigration Procedures for Diplomats

New immigration procedures enacted on November 20, 2007 exempts diplomats traveling on official purposes from submitting personal identification information at the port of entry. In order to receive this exemption, the diplomat should obtain an appropriate Japanese visa in advance. Even if the diplomatic passport allows for a visa exemption with Japan, one must still bring a document that proves one is on official business. Click here for details.
