On April 19 the Japanese Medical Society of America (JMSA) held its 36th annual Spring Dinner in New York. 250 guests were in attendance, including Ambassador and Mrs. Sakurai.
During its annual gathering the group honored Dr. Koichi Nakamoto, medical attache at the Consulate General of Japan, for his activities. Dr. Nakamoto was recognized for his contributions towards the formation of JAMSNET, an NPO network providing information exchange and cooperation on medical services for Japanese people in and around the New York area, and for his strong support of JAMSNET activities at the community level.
In appreciation of the generous financial endowment made by Japanese tea company Itoen, the JMSA presented a certificate to Mr. Yosuke Honjo, too. He is the company’s U.S. director.
