Consulate General of Japan in New York Remits the Donation Funds to the Japanese Red Cross Society

We would like to express our deepest gratitude to those who have sent their generous contribution to the Consulate General of Japan in New York to assist the victims of the Great East Japan Earthquake and ensuing tsunami disasters.
We would like to report that as of 4 March, the Consulate General of Japan in New York has received a total of USD 731,804.80 in donations for relief of the victims of the earthquake and tsunami.
By 5 March, these funds have been forwarded to the Japanese Red Cross Society in full. All funds received will go, without deductions for overhead or other extraneous expenses, directly toward assisting the affected populations.
